It Can't Be True

I found this video on YouTube. Remember when Elizabeth played Lucy in 13 the Musical? Well here's "It Can't Be True":

jealous guy + posers

I just wanted to let everyone know that the people who are claiming in the chatbox to be Liz, aren't. I checked with Elizabeth herself through Twitter to make sure. I kind of already knew that though - I was pretty sure that Elizabeth Gillies would post on here "my booty smells". So please guys, stop posing as her. So on Twitter I just asked her if all of the "Elizabeth Gillies" on here were fake. Here's her response:

"The 16-year-old Victorious star covered the star as a present for series creator Dan Schneider, The Daily Beast reports. Working with the show’s music composer, Elizabeth asked him to help her record an impressive take on the song.

Elizabeth shared about the song and what music means to her, “I try to find as much time as I can in my busy work schedule to just chill out. I think it’s important to have something that relaxes you. For me it was always listening to music.”

Five Questions with Victorious star, Elizabeth Gillies

Our new favorite show is hands down, Victorious on Nickelodeon. It's about a group of friends (and a few frenemies) following their dreams to make it big while at Hollywood Arts, a special performing arts high school. We got a few minutes to catch up with Elizabeth Gillies who plays Jade — the dark, edgy yet super talented girl at the school who comes across just a tad bit meaner than she intends. Elizabeth, however, couldn't be sweeter!

CosmoGirl: You were on Broadway before landing the role of Jade on Victorious. Do you have any crazy audition stories?

Elizabeth Gillies: My craziest audition story would have to be from an audition I had for a Broadway show when I was about 12. I had gotten to the final dance round and I was doing the audition number for the director and producers of the show along with about 20 other kids. When I got to the part in the dance number when I had to do a cartwheel, I knocked one of the other kids over with my legs! I tried to get up and recover but as I was getting up I saw the director write two words next to my headshot, "long legs." I didn't make it to the next round! My long legs lost me a job.

CG: Jade is a "mean" girl" on Victorious. Have you had any encounters with mean girls at school?

EG: Jade is a very unique kind of mean girl. She's not as conventional as the majority of the mean girls I encountered growing up and going to school. She's much darker, much more acerbic. I think dealing with mean girls is just a part of life. I never really took people like that too seriously.

CG: Did you know any of your other Victorious cast mates prior to the first day of filming?
EG: I auditioned for Victorious in New York along with a lot of my former cast mates from the Broadway show 13. One of these cast mates happened to be Ariana Grande who now plays Cat on the show! We booked Victorious together which was totally surreal. This was the fourth consecutive job we had booked together. Ariana was the only person in the cast I knew before hand, but it only took about a day for us all too really hit it off. I knew after the first day on set that our cast was going to be like a family and luckily I was right. We all get along really great.

CG: What do you look for in a boyfriend and what are your dating deal breakers?

EG: A strong sense of humor, a really awesome personality, and maturity is also really important in a boyfriend. I tend to only be attracted to older guys for that reason. I just love guys who have a really strong sense of who they are. My two big date deal breakers are someone with no sense of humor and someone who chews badly. I will never be with someone who never laughs or someone who chews disgustingly so if either of those things are detected on a date — it's a total deal breaker.

CG: What's on your iPod right now?

EG: A ton of Beatles. I also love Billy Joel, Ray Lamontagne, Bob Dylan, Coldplay, and Regina Spektor just to name a few.

We check out Victorious every Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET on Nickelodeon — do you?
XOXO,
Lauren
